Honeywell's Latest Touchscreen Keypad is Both Security System Controller and Digital Photo Frame

6272CV TouchCenter Features Higher Screen Resolution, Six Language Options

MELVILLE, N.Y., March 9, 2010 – Honeywell (NYSE:HON) has released a new version of its popular touchscreen keypad that features a sharp, and high-density display. The 6272CV Graphic TouchCenter Keypad serves as both a high-resolution digital photo display and an intuitive, menu-drive touchscreen keypad that controls both residential and commercial security systems.

The 6272CV is an ideal addition to any residential, commercial or industrial environment. Available in black, silver or white, the keypad easily blends with décor in retail stores, offices, homes, conference rooms, kitchens and warehouses. A high-resolution screen showcases photos supporting up to 64,000 colors. While homeowners can display images such as family photos and create slideshows with the simple insertion of an SD card, businesses can use the screen to advertise sales and special promotions, or post employee announcements and floor plans. Six language options – English, European Spanish, Latin American Spanish, French Canadian, Italian and Portuguese – simplify touchscreen operation for multilingual businesses or households.

“Multilingual capabilities and sleek color choices add versatility and give dealers the ability to appeal to a greater customer base than ever before,” said Rob Marabella, senior product marketing manager for Honeywell. “The combination digital picture frame and touchscreen can really differentiate our dealers’ offerings—helping them add more content per sale and close more business.”

"Customers love the concept of the digital picture frame on the keypad,” said Paul Romanelli, president of Suffolk Security Systems in Southold, New York. “In the past, the keypad just sat on the wall and was only used a few times a day. Now, it adds value all day long,”

Compatible with numerous Honeywell control panels, the 6272CV keypad is a dynamic home automation solution used for arming or disarming security systems and for lighting and garage door control. Additionally, in the event of an emergency, voice annunciation announces the type and location of an alarm. (English language only)
